Interior design trends in Indonesia continue to evolve at a remarkable pace. Today’s development is reflected in the rise of diverse patterns, colors, textures, and materials, each showcasing the richness of culture and the creativity of modern lifestyles. If in the past interior design was seen merely as a complement to a room’s architectural structure, today designers are competing to produce works that are not only visually captivating but also concept-driven, highly personalized, and supported by high-quality materials.
This year, AICA carried the theme “Design Indonesia Future, Together – From Inspiration to Innovation” in a series of talk shows held across two major cities: Jakarta and Bali. In collaboration with Impress Decor Group and Aica Asia Laminate Holdings (AALH), the event explored the future of Indonesian design, starting from the source of inspiration to innovations in materials and design that will shape the industry.

The AICA Design Talk series kicked off in Jakarta before continuing to Bali. AICA invited partners, designers, and industry collaborators to join the sessions and exchange insights, experiences, and perspectives on the development of interior design trends in Indonesia. The event began with opening remarks from Mr. Dan Mashiki, President Director of Aica Indonesia, who welcomed attendees and introduced Aica’s vision.

The first session was presented by Impress Decor Group, a global provider of high-quality decorative surfaces from motif creation and printing technology to finishing materials that define the character of furniture and interior spaces worldwide. Impress shared an overview of current and upcoming global design trends, including solid patterns, wood and stone aesthetics, antique tones such as burgundy, and adventurous combinations like stone paired with navy blue. The presenters also emphasized that design trends evolve alongside the creativity of interior designers, encouraging them to explore, mix, and reimagine motifs to offer clients richer experiences and design possibilities.

In the second session, Aica Asia Laminate Holdings (AALH), Aica’s branch based in Bangkok, Thailand, offered an exclusive preview of upcoming J-Cube products and designs scheduled for release in 2026. This was followed by insights from Aica Indonesia and Technowood Indonesia, discussing the rapid growth of Indonesia’s interior design scene and how designers can navigate these trends by selecting materials that are not only visually appealing but also durable, safe, and of superior quality.
The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session between presenters and attendees, covering topics such as design motifs, emerging trends, and sneak peeks of Aica’s upcoming products. AICA extends our warmest gratitude to everyone who joined AICA Design Talk 2025. We look forward to continuing the conversation and welcoming you to our future events!
