Batik is one of Indonesia's most prestigious cultural heritages, and it was recognized by UNESCO in 2009. Almost every region in Indonesia has its own Batik motives and characteristics, for example, Java Island has more than three types of Batik from different cities. Various types of batik can be found there, including Batik Tulis and Batik Printing which have different processes of making and results.

However, every batik motif represents different regions and meanings, for instance, Batik Parang, Megamendung, Kawung, Sogan, etc. Because Batik is also one of the most distinguished icons of our country, batik is well known abroad and is in demand by many locals and foreign tourists.

Batik motif is usually found in attires, bags, shoes, book covers, bedsheets, or tablecloths. But have you ever seen batik displayed on furniture or the walls in your house? Fairly saying, this is not that common in the market because not many furniture stores sell furniture with batik motif. But good news, for those interested in trying something new and unique for your house interior, AICA HPL Batik could be one of your perfect alternatives to do so!

You might be wondering if this is the correct option as HPL is commonly dominated by neutral colors and patterns, and is now combined with a Batik motif that is the total opposite of the usual. Is it possible? It surely is! Here, Aica describes what are the things you need to keep in mind when making HPL Batik which is one of Aica Indonesia’s special products.

NOT A BATIK MOTIF

Aica Friends, the first thing that you need to acknowledge is that Aica Indonesia does not sell or provide HPL with batik motifs in particular, instead, it is batik fabric that is directly pressed to the HPL.

The steps required are very simple, customers can choose their preferred batik cloth with the desired motif, then consult with the Aica team for printing and sampling, because Batik HPL can only be made through customization.

Furthermore, after the consultation process, the fabric and motif of customer’s choice will be given to us for sampling, and after the sample size is made, we will send them back for the customer’s approval.

If customers are satisfied with the color and texture of the media produced from the sample, they can send their batik cloth according to the number of orders. Then the fabric will be pressed into the HPL according to our procedures, to ensure maximum results as the customer’s orders.

USING BATIK PRINTING IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED

To make Batik HPL, customers are highly encouraged to use Batik Printing motifs so that the batik motif does not fade during printing. Last but not least, customers will be providing the desired batik fabric because Aica Indonesia does not accept orders to make batik fabric for HPL!

Aica Friends, that is a brief description and tidbits you should know about Aica’s Batik HPL for your house interior. If you are interested in using Batik HPL, make sure that you remember all the information and steps above to make your own customized batik to a HPL for your dream household.
