AICA has officially made its mark at ARCH:ID 2025, and what a debut it was! The excitement and positive feedback from visitors poured in, but one product stole the spotlight, which is AICA-R, AICA Indonesia’s newest innovation, unveiled for the first time at the exhibition. AICA-R is a flexible decorative panel that can bend up to 360 degrees, adapting seamlessly to the shape of any surface behind it. In the world of interior design, this material redefines versatility, perfect for use in furniture, wall panels, countertops, and even flooring. 

With a size of 609 mm x 2,440 mm, AICA-R is made from ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), a high-performance thermoplastic known for its exceptional flexibility, impact resistance, and durability. It’s backed with specialized Backer Paper, making it even more elastic and easy to shape according to your creative vision. During ARCH:ID 2025, AICA-R turned heads as it was used to cover the underside of a seating area, mainly because of its striking pattern and seamless installation. Hence, it became one of the most talked-about highlights at the AICA booth.

Fresh off the launch, AICA-R already offers a range of 10 stunning patterns and 4 signature profiles, including Half-Round, Ripple, Canyon, and Mountain. Its design options span from natural wood grains and raw concrete finishes to bold solid colors, and even luxurious metallic golds set to launch later this year. Ripple and Canyon received the most attention for their bold, sculptural look that retains full bendability, perfect for creating visually dynamic interiors.

AICA-R is not only unique, it’s also very practical. It can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces, including Plywood, HMR (High Moisture Resistant Boards), MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard), Particle boards, and smooth, clean walls. Designed for indoor use only, AICA-R should be installed in dry environments. Once cut to your desired shape with a circular saw, it can be applied directly using Aica-Aibon adhesive.
